The Dynamode 6 Way PDU Extension Lead is a straightforward power distribution unit that functions as expected. It allows users to plug in multiple devices and provides power without any issues. It is capable of running networking equipment with ease. However, the build quality of the product is not up to par. The main power cable is loose in the rear of the unit, and the power button cap is not captive. These small quality of life issues could have been improved upon, Considering the price and the fact that it is a relatively cheaply produced product. Another misleading aspect of the product is its advertised maximum power rating. It claims to be rated for 4000W, but with a standard UK supply of 230V and a 13A rating, the actual max power is just under 3KW. The higher power rating may be for different voltages, but it is irrelevant for mains electricity running at 230V. Despite these drawbacks, the Dynamode 6 Way PDU Extension Lead performs its intended function and is easy to mount at the rear of a rack. It may not be the best value for money Considering its build quality, but it gets the job done.
