The main difference from the starter kit is a keypad that allows you to set the number of days you would like it to tumble. It is possible to tumble all types of rocks including softer materials. The size inside can accommodate small rocks up to about an inch, and the largest recommended size is possibly 1.5". Tumbling times are about 1 week per set of grit with four different grits used in succession. The tumbler is loud, and some users have encountered problems with stalling and belt issues. The tumbler design features a rubber tumbling barrel with a stainless steel cap, reducing noise, and improving durability.
