Answer: It's probably a body chemistry thing. Silver does that to some people. Are you sure it's the ring you bought? Mine is silver and when silver tarnishes it turns greenish. But I haven't had that problem so far. Check the content of the metal. They have some that are stainless steel. I've worn it every day since I got it. -

Answer: No absolutely not. If it rubs off it's not sterling silver or it's just a coat. 925 sterling silver is real silver throughout.
