The M-D Building Products 5090 Standard Fin Door Sweep is an aluminum silver door sweep that aims at keeping out drafts, dust, and insects from entering one's home. This door sweep is 36 inches long and has a vinyl fin that seals gaps up to 3/4 inches at the bottom of the door. The product is easy to install, and one could use a hacksaw to cut the sweep to the right size. However, feedback from customers suggests that the door sweep is not as durable as it should be, the rubber flap that seals the door's bottom wears out quickly with Constant use, leaving gaps and undermining its usefulness. Additionally, the sweep is not long enough to close gaps beyond 1 1/4 inches. In summary, the M-D Building Products 5090 Standard Fin Door Sweep is easy to install and could be an excellent solution for closing gaps on doors. But, it is not durable enough for repeated use and is not ideal for gaps over 1 1/4 inches.
