The Irwin Vise-Grip 5WR-3 is a small and lightweight tool that can be carried around easily. The workmanship is excellent, and the tool can be used for various purposes, including removing stripped bolts, cutting small wires (#10 gauge or less), gripping and holding small objects, and more. However, its small size also limits its effectiveness on materials wider than about 1 1/8". While the original Vice Grip was known for its quality and sturdiness, this tool is a bit clumsier and heavier. Nevertheless, it is still considered among the best new options available in the market, and the build quality seems to be as good as older models from decades ago. The tool is made in China, despite the product information saying otherwise.
