    Answer: We have about a 630 square inches cage and it took two, two and a half of the 24.6 L bags, it drops so it will look less after a day or two and it’s lovely to burrow and feel cozy.

    Answer: Not sure as empty packet into a hopper and do not keep packet but if I was to estimate I would say between 2 to 3kg

    Answer: Not an ounce of dust! I have a hamster who has serve allergies to dust (sneezing, coughing, breathing issues) and even Aspin was too dusty for her, I switched to Carefresh on recommendation and it was so dusty it made me cough! Ridiculously over priced, hard, dusty, didn’t last long. So I switched to this stuff and it’s fantastic! It’s dust free (literally), soft, lasts ages, you can buy it in big bags, it expands, great for tunnelling, making nests. Honestly, great product!
  • Question: Can this be composted once used?

    Answer: Video could not be loaded
  • Question: Is this able to be used as bedding replacement for sawdust or is it to be used alongside sawdust?

    Answer: Use it in its own... it’s so much better for your pet than sawdust or shavings and it works better than both of these beddings anyways.
  • Question: Is it suitable for hedgehogs please?

    Answer: It’s very safe for hamsters because they love to burrow in it, much safer than sawdust. I’m not sure about hedgehogs but I think it will be fine. This product is very absorbent and safe and great for digging and burrowing in. If it’s safe for hamsters (and ours is going on 3 years now) I can’t see why it won’t be safe for other animals. But to be on the safe side it's best to do some research.

    Answer: I have to say it is not the best but it is acceptable.

However, this appears to be an isolated incident and not a widespread problem with the bedding. Another customer had trouble with their recent bag not expanding properly, but this seems to be normal variation from one batch to another. Overall, Kaytee Clean & Cozy White Small Animal Bedding is a reliable and safe choice for small pets, with the exception of some isolated incidents.
