The Barimelts® delivery system is great for patients who have undergone bariatric surgery as it dissolves in the mouth and makes the vitamins available for absorption before they reach the stomach. Since the vitamins dissolve in the mouth, the tablet does not take up space in the stomach and allows you to eat a true meal. Some patients post-surgery may have difficulty swallowing and therefore this dosage form would help with that as well. BariMelts® Multivitamin does not contain iron because iron may interact with zinc (iron inhibits zinc absorption).
