They are made of sturdy plastic with Velcro on the bottom and come with enough stoppers to keep things in place. They are 7" long, 4" high, and 3/4" thick and two such pieces lock together into a 90-degree angle. They velcro to the trunk carpet, and the Velcro is very strong. However, they won't work with Weathertech mats. The product has received mixed reviews, with some customers complaining that it rips up carpet instantly and doesn't hold heavy objects well. But others say they work great and have been sturdy for many years.
