    Answer: I believe it is plastic.

    Answer: Sorry, I bought it for watercolors so don’t know.

  • Question: Is the inside of the palette plastic? or coated metal?

    Answer: It is all plastic. There are two mixing areas in the bottom part and one large mixing area in the top cover.
  • Question: Will this palette leak and will the watercolor spill over into the well when closed and held sideways while traveling?

    Answer: Some paints will spill over: some cadmiums, Cobalt Yellow, Cerulean Blue, to name a couple. If the palette is not sealed firmly it will leak a bit. keep an eye on the gasket. The size is great and if held flat, all is well.
  • Question: Is it true it does not clean well?

    Answer: The mixing areas clean up okay but the narrowing dimensions in the wells makes it rather difficult to completely remove the paint in them.
