Answer: This bit seems to be as true a point as is possible without creating a weak tip that would bend or break easily. There is a definite effort to have a sharp tip instead a flat. -

what would be the stepdown setting when adding the 3/4 60 degree 5/8 vbit into a tool database?
Answer: At most 3/8", but less depending on hardness of material being cut. -

Description and illustration are inconsistent. if 1/4 shank then groove width must be 3/8, not 3/16. and if illustration is proportionately correct, it looks like depth is also 3/8. explanation would be 3/8 x 3/16 with 1/4 shank is correct only if radius, not diameter of tip is 3/16. can anyone confirm actual dimensions?
Answer: The diameter is 3/8" and the height of the actual V is about 3/16". You are correct that the full cutter height is shown as 3/16" and should really be 3/8".
