It is easy to play and sounds fantastic. The mandolin needs to be tuned when it arrives, but this is normal. The tuner included in the kit is nice and doesn't scratch the finish. The picks work if you aren't used to the mandolin ones. The padding in the backpack/handled gig bag is good, but the flat pocket can't hold all the accessories included.
