This Ibanez mandolin is a great value and arrives with a minimal set up. It has a nice sound and it is recommended to replace the strings. The bridge needs to be set up properly to obtain the best sound. The pickup output is noted to be a little low and it is advised to install a peg on the base of the neck to prevent warping. Some reviewers have expressed issues with the pickup having a hum in the signal. The instrument may also need some fiddling to set it up well.
