Each shelf is 14 inches in length, 3 inches deep, 3 3/4 inches high at the back and 1 1/2 inches high at the front. These trays fit into the two unusable drawers in the sink front. They are not soft close hinges. The trays are available separately. There is a small plastic thing that looks like an orange juicer which is for holding rings while washing dishes. These trays cannot be separated if they get stuck. The product is easy to install and fits in a 12-inch opening. This product does not lock in the open position.
