However, the quality of the reel is not up to par, with the drag not staying in place. Some customers have replaced the reel with a better one and found the rod to be great for fishing in ponds. The rod is made for bass fishing up to 5 lbs. and has a collapsed length of 13.5 inches. It is a medium-duty rod and may not be suitable for catching larger fish like northern. The rod is made in China and does not include a case. The pack that it comes in can be reused for storage, but the rod and reel may not fit in it when assembled. Overall, the Eagle Claw PK56TS Pack-It Spin Combo Telescopic Rod is a decent fishing pole, but the reel may need to be replaced for optimal performance.
