The important part is to pay attention to the ohm capacity of what you are connecting them to. These are 2ohm which means they will work well with any 2ohm system. With or without an amplifier. If you push anything higher (like 4 ohm) then they will not handle it well. Best case they sound bad. Worst and you'll burn them out depending on how much you push them.

Do you need an adapter kit for these speaker for a 2017 harley davidson street glide for saddle bag lids?
