The lunch box is microwaveable for up to 5-10 minutes, but the user should be careful not to heat it for too long because the material is PP plastic. Unfortunately, this means that the food doesn't stay warm for long, but the bottom part with the metal tray is microwaveable, tray and all. The bento box is not dishwasher safe but is easy to hand wash. The lid also works on the bottom layer, which is convenient. The nifty soup bowl and bottom metal compartment are not insulated and won't keep the right temperature for a long time. Overall, this bento box is a cute option for those who want to bring their lunches on-the-go but doesn't keep the food warm or cold for very long.
