Answer: First, the helmets weigh almost 3 lbs, you need to decide if your 4 year old can support that much weight? You need to measure for the correct helmet size and you'll probably want a peewee size chest protector not a youth size. -

I have a 7 year old, he had worn a youth Lg. Helmet but he wears small gloves. How do I measure for helmet size?
Answer: Wrap a paper tape measure around the largest part of his head to get an inch dimension. Then select the size from the chart using that dimension. -
