With a gusseted tongue that helps to keep water out, these boots are perfect for hiking in the snow. They are pretty true to size, but it's recommended to stick with 10.5 which gives room for thicker socks. In terms of weight, the boots feel lighter compared to typical winter boots for this size, which is a plus for long hikes. They have great insulation, to the point that one customer wore them in -25 degrees in Chicago and their feet remained warm and dry. However, it's important to note that these boots are not recommended for summer hiking. They are designed specifically to keep your feet very warm in frigid temperatures.
