The SureFeed split bowls are a good spare set if you already have a feeder that works with microchips or collars, however, they are rather expensive. They are made of a sturdy plastic polymer and come in different colours. While they are not dishwasher safe, they are easy to hand wash. One advantage of having multiple bowls is that you can clean them without leaving your pet without access to food. Additionally, the divided dish is preferred by some. One disadvantage is that the bowls only work with specific feeders - the chip activated feeder or the newer hub "connected" version. They do not work with the smaller motion activated, non-chip feeder.
