    Answer: No, it's lightweight and easy to use with a one-blade thickness, no set-up is required.

    Answer: You can't. This model has a fixed thickness. Kyocera has a similar/upgrade model which is adjustable.

    Answer: Mine did not have a dial. The circle is just the knob to hold onto the finger protector when you are slicing.

    Answer: Yes. It slices the cucumber in uniform thin slices.

    Answer: It's not adjustable. It shows the guard and the mandolin. The adjustable one looks different.

    Answer: Post-notes makes a heavy duty note...probably not plastic more like a marking tape. As for plastic maybe you could find...some of the protective film that protects the finish on new electronics.

    Answer: I can't tell you the exact thickness but they are THIN.

The blade is ceramic and it is very sharp, but there is no adjustable blade for thickness. The model has a fixed thickness, but this tool is excellent for those who need uniform and smooth thin slices. The slicer is also suitable for when you want to produce a lot of thin slices of some food item very rapidly. However, some reviewers did have some negative feedback about the plastic piece to hold food, which doesn't seem to fit, and some users said they had to use cut resistant gloves to ensure safety while using the tool. Overall, this slicer is a great tool for everyday use, slicing vegetables quickly and perfectly.
