Orbit Hose Timers 21206 Editorial Review
The Orbit B-hyve smart hose faucet timer is a mixed bag of reviews. The device has Bluetooth capabilities, and it needs to be connected to a Wi-Fi hub to work together with other timers. The Wi-Fi hub maintains a distance of around 50 ft. Three program slots can contain four starting durations each, so staying within the 12-hour window wouldn't be an issue. The device has a maximum pressure limit of 85 psi, but it can manage up to 100 psi. It's battery-operated with an AC-powered Bluetooth transmitter. The diameter of the valve is 3/4", and it features a hose fitting for male and female. However, the device has no water valves, only wires to control and bury the valves in the ground. One of the primary problems with this device is the app, which needs a significant update. Several users find that it is challenging to get the device connected to Wi-Fi or even Bluetooth. The difficulty of replacing the battery and the app's confusing setup and organization make the device challenging to operate. Customer service is also inadequate, as users have reported conflict between the sales pitch and many incompatibilities with Alexa usage.
