رأي أخصائي التغذية
Petroleum Jelly, primarily composed of mineral oils and waxes, is not a food product and does not offer nutritional benefits. It is commonly used for skin protection, moisturizing, and as a barrier to prevent irritants. However, it contains no vitamins, minerals, or caloric content, rendering it unsuitable for dietary consumption. Nutritionists caution against ingestion due to potential gastrointestinal issues and recommend external use only. While it can provide benefits like preventing dryness and aiding in wound healing, concerns exist regarding its purity and potential contamination with harmful substances if not pharmaceutical-grade. Overall, it serves a purpose in skincare rather than nutrition and should not be viewed as a healthy food choice.
