This is the right set if you are curious about owning a big chess set but want something affordable and easy to carry. This MegaChess set has an attractive storage box with a carry handle and a vinyl chessboard. The plastic MegaChess pieces are rugged, waterproof, and UV-resistant injection-molded hollow plastic. Light enough to take on any outing, you can count on people (especially kids) to walk up and make friends! And yes, you can weigh these pieces! Find the hole in the base as a soft spot in felt. Poke a hole in felt with a pencil. Fill with fine sand. Enlarge the hole with a drill if in a hurry. Drip household glue in the hole. Let glue-sand mix dry to form a hole plug.
