Dakine Car Rack Parts & Accessories Editorial Review
The Dakine Pickup Truck Halfside Tailgate Pad for Mountain Bikes has garnered a positive reception from customers who appreciate its practicality and efficiency in transporting bikes. Designed specifically for those who often ride solo, this half-sized pad offers just the right amount of coverage without obstructing important features like backup cameras. The convenience of its two-strap system makes it easy to install and remove, which many users have praised, especially for short trips to bike trails. Users noted that the pad is well-Constructed, with quality materials that provide sufficient protection for both the bikes and the truck. This is particularly important for those transporting valuable or specialized bicycles, as the soft material against the tailgate prevents scratches. Additionally, the pad's ability to fit various bike sizes, including e-bikes, has been highlighted as a significant advantage. Many customers report satisfaction with the pad being able to accommodate up to three bikes comfortably, although some opt for just two to avoid interference between the frames. The effective performance of the Dakine pad during longer drives—like highway travel—and its easy maintenance, such as cleaning mud off, further reinforce its appeal. Overall, the Dakine Pickup Truck Halfside Tailgate Pad stands out as an excellent option for mountain bike enthusiasts looking for a reliable and user-friendly tailgate solution. **
