The Robert Larson 580-1050 Kunz Round Bottom Spokeshave has a wide throat and a sole radius of approximately 3/4". It is good for the belly carve body contour but not recommended for shaping guitar necks. The iron should be placed bevel down in this spokeshave. There is some confusion about whether it is made in Germany or China, but one customer reports that theirs was made in Germany.
