The Celestron Universal T-Adapter can be used for both visual observation and astrophotography. It comes with a built-in Barlow lens that provides an effective doubling of the telescope's focal length, making it an excellent option for astrophotography. For visual observing, the adapter will accept any 1.25" occular. The Barlow lens is removable for either application. Customers have reported using the adapter successfully with a Canon EOS T5i and a Celestron FirstScope #114 reflector. Some customers have reported needing a Barlow to get the adapter to focus on their telescope. The adapter works with cameras from various brands, including Nikon and Panasonic, but you may need a T-ring that interfaces between your camera and the adapter.
