If you're in need of an under eave vent for your dryer, bathroom fan, or stove hood, the Lambro 143W White Plastic Vent could be your solution. This vent comes in a 2-pack and can accommodate a 4-inch hose (a 3-inch option is also available). The flap on the vent prevents backflow, and it can be installed right at the edge of your soffit, so warm exhaust blows away from the house. However, on very cold nights, condensation can build up on the flap and freeze it shut, but that is easily remedied by running the fan for approximately 10 minutes to melt the ice. One downside is the plastic frame, which can easily become distorted, so be sure to securely tighten the screws without damaging the frame. Some customers recommend buying a larger hole saw than 4.25 inches for easier installation. There is no screen inside the vent to keep bugs out if they get past the flap. All in all, this vent is a great value for the price and does an excellent job of ventilating.
