The SOTO Amicus Stove wIgniter is a great choice for backpackers looking for a stove that can function in windy conditions without requiring a wind shield. Its high walls around the flame provide protection from the wind, and the stove arms are perfect for cooking with varying-sized pots on trips. The flame regulator allows you to have full control over the flame, with the stove capable of simmering as well as providing a full blast boil. The compact stove comes with a carrying case, strong enough to protect the stove while out on longer hikes. You'll need to supply the fuel canister, but they are widely available in outdoor stores. The stove has received positive reviews with the exception of the plastic handle, which melted during use.
