About This Item
Looking to culture non-fastidious bacteria? Look no further than Nutrient Agar! Our 23 grams of powdered, dehydrated Nutrient Agar is of the highest laboratory-grade quality available. With our lightning-fast shipping, you'll receive your order within 1-2 business days. Nutrient Agar is a microbiological growth medium that remains solid even at relatively high temperatures. Plus, bacteria grown on its surface is clearly visible as small colonies.
With 23 grams of Nutrient Agar, you'll be able to yield approximately 1 liter of Nutrient Agar solution, which is enough to create 50, 100mm Petri dishes with 20 ml per dish. Our formula for Nutrient Agar includes 21.7% Pancreatic Digest of Gelatin (Peptone G), 13% Beef Extract, and 65.2% Agar Agar. Our instructions for preparing Nutrient Agar are simple and straightforward. All you need to do is dissolve 23 grams of Nutrient Agar in 1 liter of distilled water, adjust the pH to 7.0, autoclave at 121 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes, and finally pour into Petri dishes.
