- Protect your pantry against unwanted invaders with Safer Brand The Pantry Pest Pantry Moth Traps. Pantry moths can cause considerable damage to stored food by feeding on flour, grains, and even bird seed. This convenient solution works both as a trap to target active adult moth infestations, while also helping you to monitor new moth activity when an infestation first begins. The trap should be deployed immediately if you see signs of a moth infestation. For best results, use one trap per average size room. Use two traps for large rooms, placing them at opposite ends of the room. Pantry Pest uses a powerful pheromone lure to attract adult male pantry moths. After landing on the sticky surface, adult moths get stuck and die of dehydration, which stops them before they can continue breeding. The Pantry Pest comes with two lures, lasting up to 3 months each. Each lure is stored in airtight pouches to prevent the attractant from depleting prior to use, so they remain fresh until opened. When ready to deploy the trap, add the lure to ensure moths will be able to find the trap with ease. Check the Pantry Pest Trap weekly to determine if it is full or excessively dirty. Discard once full.
