Stamps & Punches

When you want to embark on your uniqueness, your creative signature is the ultimate choice. These punch sets for name tags are made from hardened steel. These letter and number stamping tools have a raised design on one end and are struck with a hammer to create an impression. Complement metal stamping pads with suitable beading supplies to create unique pieces of jewellery.

A good stamp punch set for jewellery often includes both letters and numbers. You can get all kinds of fun design stamps for pet tags or other personalised projects. They are built for repeated use, so you can get perfectly clear, crisp designs every time you use a hammer.

Stamping Hammers

In stamping, you might think that any old hammer will do the work, but you are wrong. A good stamping hammer for metal work is designed with a brass or soft steel head to absorb the blow and prevent "double-striking."

The stamp bounces and leaves a faint second impression. It is also weighted for consistent and powerful strikes. This is not just a hammer but a precision tool that ensures your personalised message is perfectly visible, without unwanted smudges.

See how these different kind of metal stamping hammers makes the work easy, as shared by a user on Reddit.

I'd get a brass hammer for sure. They don't bounce around as they absorb the shock of the strike (if you are stamping) and they don't leave marks on your material....if you are going to make rings, I would also get a rawhide hammer (and beat the ever loving crap out of it on pavement to soften it and break it in before using it). What do you think you need a jewelry hammer for? Texture? If you want to make texture there are ways to do it without the fancy hammers. The only hammer I have is a ball peen hammer I use for a hammer texture. Silver dust makes my favorite texture.

Stamping Blocks & Anvils

When you look at the foundation of a good stamp, a metal stamping block or jewellery stamping anvil is ready to serve. They are often made from solid steel to provide a perfectly flat and hard surface for stamping purposes.

Its purpose is to absorb the force of the hammer and ensure a clean, deep impression. You can use one of these to prevent your workspace from getting damaged. Furthermore, it gives your project the stable surface needed for professional-looking results.

Have a look at a user's experience of using these blocks to get his work done easily.  See what he shared on Reddit.

alternatively, try using the steel block, with a thick piece of lead (half inch) on top of it, and the piece you're trying to stamp on top of the lead

Blanks & Guides

You cannot stamp on thin air, and yes, it’s a fact. That’s why metal stamping blanks for jewellery are used as the canvas for your work. They are small and flat pieces of metal made from materials like brass or aluminium.

A metal stamping tape guide is your best friend to make sure that your letters are perfectly aligned. It sticks to the blank and provides a straight edge for you to align your stamps, ensuring your finished piece looks clean and professional, instead of messy and crooked.
